Thank you for visiting the 50th Anniversary, 90th Birthday Celebration, and "Treasury of Memories" Pictorial Album web page. This web page is presented by the sons and daughters of Vila M. Alexander Smith and Superintendent K. Smith, Pastor of the Friendship Church of God in Christ in honor of the memory of our mother. The 50th Anniversary Celebration was a grand event. We thank all who have given us their support and love during the preparation stage of this event.

The Vila M. Smith "Treasury of Memories" Pictorial Album
The San Jose Mercury News article is a very nice piece written by Joe Rodriguez with some great photos by Nhat V. Meyer capturing the key moments of the Sunday Service Celebration.
The Program Book includes the Programs of Services for the two days of Celebration, a short Biography of Pastor Smith, Friendship History (in Supt. Smith's words) with pictures of early Friendship, AND In Loving Memory page listing those Friendship who have passed on to receive their reward.
The Treasuries of Memories is a compendium of 141 pictures was complied by Naomi Smith Hammonds, who reached deep into our mother's picture albums to get the best photos of Friendship, her friends, and her family interactions from 1948-1987.
