WELCOME:

This web page is presented by the West Angeles Church of God in Christ Discipleship Ministry (Perfecting Believers). For eight weeks our Department had a special Discipleship series entitled, "The Disciple's Mission" utilizing the MasterLife curriculum from LifeWay publishers. We had an exciting group of individuals, sometimes over 100 in attendance, who were ready to learn and interact with the Lord and with each other in their inside and outside the classroom spiritual development assignments. 

The class series started January 15, 2012, and ended March 4, 2012. We have a three-fold purpose in presenting this material to you: 1) Acting as a reminder for the students in the class regarding the material covered in class. PLEASE NOTE, there are some additional materials we did not have time to present during class, 2) This page may also be useful for those who wish to teach or facilitate their own MasterLife Book 4 class to an individual or small group. Such individuals will have some extra materials available to them, and 3) For those who were not a part of the live class, the discipleship documents and videos will hopefully serve as an avenue for Christian growth. (I only ask that you keep my name and contact information intact as you utilize or pass these materials out. If you are so inclined, let me know how they are helpful to you. I 'd love to hear how the Lord is using them.) I have included over 30 links to document files and videos.

If you are a pastor, minister, teacher, mentor, or small group facilitator and are interested in how to utilize the MasterLife curriculum and how it might work in your congregation or group contact West Angeles Church of God in Christ - The Discipleship Department. We have incorporated the MasterLife Curriculum with our own Perfecting Believers Discipleship Biblical Approach and are developing an effective Discipleship Training Program. If you wish to develop a workable Christian Discipleship Program at your church or in your group, family, or even a one-to-one Christian mentoring relationship, we'll gladly discuss it with you. 

We have developed a fine cadre of Christian Life Mentors (CLMs) [traditional term - disciplers]. We wish to share with the Body of Christ some of the things we are learning as we traverse this Discipleship Training Journey. If you are in the Los Angeles area you can enroll in a class. If you are outside the area STAY TUNED, for we are now working on an online approach to discipleship training that we will be rolling out gradually starting June 2012 with a Skype video conferencing class. We will continue to develop classes and programs as we hear from you regarding your needs for online and media delivery and mentoring in the area of Christian Discipleship Training. I have used YouTube videos for instruction and entertainment for a few years now. It has so many resources - on nearly EVERYTHING. YouTube is a good resource that millions use. It is more than some silly antics uploaded by a few people having a need for fame and celebrity. You can learn many new things and enhance your life's skills and get valuable information utilizing You Tube. You can even advance your business, ministry, or passion utilizing the YouTube social media format.

Many have wanted to know how I am able to get the YouTube videos I use in my classes and show in my PowerPoint presentations. Well, I simply DOWNLOAD them. There are many programs you can buy to do this, but there are many FREE programs also. The BEST program I like to used is called "aTube Catcher." It is FREE and an easy program to use. And it downloads the YouTube videos very fast.

So, I have a BONUS download document for you. The document I have written instructs you regarding how to use this program. I use screen shots to really make it clear. The aTube Catcher program has many good features.

MasterLife more fully describes its purpose in its Mission Statement:

MasterLife by Avery T. Willis is a sequential, developmental, small-group discipling process that enables believers to make Christ Master and to master life by developing personal, lifelong, obedient relationships with Him. Believers learn to practice these basic Christian disciplines as they grow toward Christlikeness: spend time with the Master, live in the Word, pray in faith, fellowship with believers, witness to the world, and minister to others.

MasterLife consists of four six-week courses, each designed to take believers to a deeper level of knowledge, commitment, and service in their Christian walks.
